CONTEMPORARY ART IN STUDY

Kvareli Foundation for Contemporary Art develops a Contemporary Art Studies Program as part of its broader educational framework, aimed at students, emerging practitioners, and those seeking a deeper engagement with current artistic practices.

The program is structured as a sustained introduction to contemporary art, addressing its key concepts, histories, and modes of production. Through lectures, seminars, and guided discussions, participants are introduced to the frameworks through which contemporary art is produced, interpreted, and situated within global and local contexts.

Central to the program is direct engagement with artistic practice. Encounters with exhibitions, artists, and curators are integrated into the curriculum, allowing participants to understand not only how works are presented, but how they are developed and contextualized over time.

Positioned within the Foundation’s environment, the program connects theoretical study with lived experience—bringing together discourse, observation, and practice within a setting where contemporary art is actively produced and experienced.
